JLU welcome package for newborn children of students and first semester with a child

In order to make it easier to combine family life with studies and to make students with a child aware early on of the advice and support services that exist, since the winter semester 2011/12 Justus Liebig University has welcomed all newborn children of students and all students in their first semester with a child with a welcome package.

There are two versions of the welcome package to cater for the two target groups mentioned above.

The welcome package is financed using funds to improve teaching (QSL funds), which are applied for by the Autonomous Family Department of the General Student Committee.

The students can make an appointment to receive the welcome package in the Family Service Office of the Student Services.

An enrolment certificate, the ID card and a copy of the child's/children's birth certificate are to be brought to this appointment.
